Asheville ~ Doreen Viola Clark, 77, of Asheville, died Wednesday, September 18, 2002 at her residence after a long illness. A native of Lindsay, Ontario, Canada, Mrs. Clark was a daughter of the late Wilford Crowley and Maude Tetreau Crowley and wife of the late William Morrison Clark. Mrs. Clark was a self-employed beautician who had lived in Asheville since 1978. She was a member of Heartpath. She was a beloved mother and grandmother. Survivors include five daughters, Brenda Evans of Buffalo, NY, Virginia Sorce of Daytona Beach, FL, Christina Clark of Asheville, Sharon Conrad of Charlotte, NC and Susan Marraffa of Los Angeles, CA; a son, James Clark of Silver Springs, FL; a sister, Gertrude DeLaire of Peterboro, Ontario, Canada; a brother, Boicey Crowley of Lindsay, Ontario, Canada and eight grandchildren, Caitlin Marraffa, Mark Ballantyne, Brian Ballantyne, Casey Ballantyne, Kelly Ballantyne, William Evans, John Evans and Michael Evans. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 AM Saturday at Pisgah View Memorial Park with Father John Pagel officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 PM Friday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.

    So sorry in the loss of your mother,she will be sadly missed at our Heart path lunches that we have each month, we grow to love her very much ,she was a very sweet and loving person.
