Doris Ann McIntosh Smith

Doris Ann McIntosh Smith, 79, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

A native of Buncombe Co., Doris was the daughter of the late Arthur Harrison and Edith Blanche McIntosh. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Homer D. Smith.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Christa Ingle (Malcom); son, David Smith (Kemper); grandchildren, Shelby Smith, Jake Smith, Jackson Smith, Bret Smith, Colson Smith, Preston Reagan, Stratton Reagan; and great-grandchildren, Maverick Reagan, and Braxton Reagan.

Her family will receive friends beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 6, at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Keith Hutchinson will officiate. Burial will then take place at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Black Mountain, at 2:00 p.m.
