Doris Deane Clark

Doris Deane Clark, 68, formerly of 37 Madeline Avenue, Asheville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 6, 2003, at a local hospital. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late James E. and Martha Deane Bruce Clark. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Willine Gentry. She was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church. Survivors include two aunts, Martha Spivey and her husband Bron and Mary Clark of Asheville; an uncle, Clenon Clark of Jacksonville, FL; brother-in-law, Lewis Gentry of Fuquay Varina, NC and special cousin, Mary “Lib” Langford and her husband Frank of Weaverville. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday in the Patton Avenue Chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Dr. James Johnson and Ken Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Friday prior to the service.
