Marie McGee, 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 9, 2013, at Asheville Healthcare Center.
Born in Buncombe County to the late Fred E. and Helen Davis she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph McGee; sister, Betty J. Littrell and brother-in-law, Andrew Madalone. She is survived by sister, Shirley L. Madalone and brother, William E. Littrell, and his wife, Peggy, of Reidsville, NC.
Doris retired from the financial/endowment department at Vanderbilt University and was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. She enjoyed reading and dearly loved her pet yorkie, Molly.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church officiated by Rev. Patty Mouer.
Memorials in her memory may be given to St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 219 Chunns Cove Road, Asheville, NC, 28805.
