Dorothea Scholl Bell

Dorothea "Dot" Scholl Bell, 89, of the Deerfield Episcopal Retirement Community died Saturday, November 21 at the Simonds Healthcare Center. A native of the Philadelphia, PA area, Dot was the son of the late George Herbert and Barbara Scholl. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert Scholl and William Scholl and a sister, Claire Scholl Fischer. Dot was a wife of 68 years to the late Richard "Dick" Bell, residing in Kennett Square, PA for more than 40 years. For the last 15 years, they have lived at the Deerfield Episcopal retirement community. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Bell of Lovell, WY, two sons, Stephen Bell and his wife, Teri, of Savannah, GA and Richard Bell of Oakland, CA; as well as two grandchildren, Trisha Bell and Michael Bell. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in the Healthcare Chapel at Deerfield. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
