Dorothy “Dot” Louise Chandler Creasman, 94, of Candler, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021.

A native of Madison Co., Dot was a daughter of the late Lattie and Margaret Etta Burleson Chandler. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Fletcher Creasman, Sr., son, Richard F. Creasman, Jr., sisters, Emma Chandler, Frankie Chandler, Orla Boone, Vergie Sizemore, and Edith Moore, brothers, Willie and Lawrence Chandler, granddaughter, Crystal Tschiffely, and beloved dog, Tinker.

Surviving are her daughters, Ann Creasman Allison, Ruby Creasman Eure, and Mary Creasman Tschiffely (Martin); grandchildren, Tony Creasman, Farrell Herren, Casey Eure (Emma), Matthew Eure, and Stephanie Herren (Jackson); great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Trace, Liam and Parker; great-great grandchildren, Jakub, Jasper, Jayden and Eli; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend special thanks to all Dot’s caregivers, including Thurline Cobb and Tracy Dadak, and to Pastor Karen Kurtz and all the many friends of Montmorenci United Methodist.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Avenue.

  3. Dot will be greatly missed , she was a very fun loving person, she was always getting me laughing, I always enjoyed her dogs Cracker Jack and Tinker walking them , loving them and giving them treats , she treated me like family and will always have a special place in my heart ❤️
