Dorothy "Pat" Thompson

Arden – Dorothy "Pat" Chapman Thompson, 94 of Arden, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Beystone Health and Rehab. Mrs. Thompson was born in Milton, West Virginia to the late Allen Chapman and Alice McCoy Chapman Morris. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Thompson, Sr. Pat was a member of Fletcher First Baptist Church and she retired from J.C. Penny. Surviving are a son, James H. Thompson, Jr. and his wife, Rachel of Arden; a daughter, Dottie Thompson Dorsey and her husband, Bill of Spartanburg, SC; a brother, Elijah Chapman; three grandchildren, James Thompson III, Josh Thompson and Kevin Dorsey and three great grandchildren, Christy Thompson, Willoughby Thompson and Moses Thompson. A funeral service will be held at Fletcher First Baptist Church on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Roy Waldroup officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial in Enka.
