Dorothy Rose Bernick

Arden ~ Dorothy D. Bernick, 78, of 540 Long Shoals Road, Arden, died on Friday, February 4, 2005 at her residence. A native of Detroit, Michigan, she had lived for 22 years in Henderson and Buncombe counties. She was the daughter of the late Roy John and Rosalee Kitzman Donohue. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Bernick in 1998 and a grandson, Daniel Brandel in 1991. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Sikorski and her husband Edward of Arden; a son, Michael O’Rourke of Rio Grande, CA; two grandchildren, Charlene Ballinger of Arden and Austin O’Rourke of Rio Grande CA; two great-grandchildren, Brandon Sikorski of Edneyville and Travis Wise of Old Fort; a brother, Richard Donohue of Arizona. A memorial service will be held 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road with the Pastor Billy Jarvis officiating.
