Dorothy June Shade Hopkins, 79, of 105 Pat Rogers Road, Franklin, died Friday, August 26, 2005, at Asheville Specialty Hospital.
A native of Greenville, OH, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Opal Lennock Shade and was also preceded in death by her husband, James A. Hopkins, who died in 1964. A former resident of Dayton, OH and Howey, FL, Mrs. Hopkins moved to Franklin in 1984.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan Shimer of Glen Ellyn, IL and Betsy Smith of Washington, DC; a son, James J. Hopkins of Carrollton, GA; a brother and sister, Jack Shade and Nancy Meeds both of Celina, OH; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2005, at the Polk Grove Church in Vandalia, OH.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to all her friends and neighbors in Franklin for their kindness, cards and well-wishes.

We guys will miss dorthy at our breakfast meetings every morning,we could always joke with her and she was a good sport
