Dorothy Winfield Horton, 82, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, February 15, 2008, at Fleshers Fairview Nursing Home in Fairview, NC.
A native of Burnsville, NC, she was a daughter of the late Oscar Wayne and Delsie Taylor Winfield and was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Walter Horton. She was retired from Mary Black Hospital in Spartanburg where she had worked in Central Supply.
Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Graham and husband Gene of Asheville and Charlene Helmer of Roy, Utah; four sisters; three grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and special friend, Emily Reed.
Services will be held at a later date in Spartanburg.
Sorry to hear of Aunt Dot’s passing. Will someone please let me know when the funeral in Spartanburg will be held.

Evelyn,My dearest and best friend. I could never begin to tell you how sad I feel over the loss of your mama and my dearest friend. I will never forget her sweetest little smile. I am so sure GOD is smiling for now his angel band is complete. I will miss her forever and thank you from the bottom of my heart for bringing such a blessing into my life.
