Asheville – Dorthea Lee West Phillips, 84, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Mrs. Phillips was born in Buncombe County to the late Glenn and Lelia Mae Stafford West. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Karl Phillips; two brothers, Joe and Calvin West and a great granddaughter, Aaliyah Pressley.
She was a member of Oakley Baptist Church.
Surviving are her four children, Judy Godfrey, Kay Pressley (Norman), David Phillips (Martha) and Paul Phillips; sister, Jeanie West; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Oakley.
The family will receive friends at 25 Overlook Place prior to and following funeral services.
