Douglas Larry Ray

Douglas Larry Ray Fletcher – Douglas Larry Ray, 62, of Fletcher, transitioned into his Eternal Life on November 20, 2013. A native of Buncombe County, he was a son of the late Vance and Georgia Ray. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Carl, Richard and Bobby as well as one sister, Carolyn Borders. Doug is survived by three loving daughters and son-in-laws, Kim and Andy Waddell, Rhonda and Mark Baldwin and Cindy and Jason Williamson; three sisters, Gail Ray, Wanda Ray and Pam Shaw; one brother, David Ray; six grandchildren, who were the light of his life as well as several nieces and nephews. A graveside service celebrating his life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Hooper's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Doug's memory to the Elizabeth House Hospice, 571 S. Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
