Doyce Gene Marshbanks of 148 Shelburne Road died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Hospice Solace Center.

A native of Madison County, he was a son of the late Fred Douglas and Flossie Crawford Marshbanks. He worked as a computer specialist for the federal government and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife, Gwen Shipman Marshbanks; a daughter, Michelle Marshbanks Reynolds of York, SC; a grandson, Andrew Todd Reynolds of York, SC; a sister, Eloise Morris and her husband Charles of Mt. Vernon, IL; a brother, Douglas Marshbanks and his wife Hildegard of New Port Richey, FL and two nephews, Lee Morris and his wife Donna of Phoenix, AZ and Mike Morris and his wife Sue of Quantico, VA.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am Tuesday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Reverends Todd Reynolds and Glen Weaver officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Russell Shipman, Ralph Lipe, Wade Souther, Charles Morris and Richard Reynolds.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 pm Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue and at other times will be at 148 Shelburne Road.
