Dr. MaryBeth Frosco, 58, of Biltmore Lake, NC, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021.

Dr. Frosco was born December 2, 1962 in New Jersey. She was a previous resident of Madison, Connecticut, and moved to Asheville in 2019. She received her undergraduate and PhD from the Cook College, Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology at Rutgers University. She attended St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Candler.

Surviving is her husband, Michael John Robin Shannon; father, James Anthony Frosco; sister, Kathleen Gallo-Sauer; brother-in-law, Bruce Seibel; brother, James Brian Frosco (Robin); and beloved pets, Tuula and Bentley. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lou Frosco, and sister, Dawn Ellen Frosco Seibel.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Fr. Dean Cesa on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 12:00 p.m., at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service, at 11:00 a.m. in the church lobby.

Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Candler.
