Dr. Wm. A. Abruzzi, MD, Ed.D

Dr. Wm. A. Abruzzi, MD, Ed.D died Wednesday, February 13, 2002, at his home on Margaret Drive in Leicester. A native of Westchester, NY, he was a son of the late William Anthony and Katherine Satarelle Abruzzi. Dr. Abruzzi served with the 101st Airborne “Screaming Eagles” during World War II and was a retired general practicioner and psychiatrist. He was a man of many accomplishments but above all he treasured his home and family. Dr. Abruzzi is survived by his devoted wife, Margaret Dodd Abruzzi; his beloved children, Paul Abruzzi of Newburyport, MA, David Abruzzi of Enfield, CT, William Abruzzi of Pittsford, VT, Michele Abruzzi Fine of Suffern, NY, Kathe DeVay of Houston, TX and Deborah LaFlesh of Malone, NY and eleven grandchildren. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
