Earl William Reynolds, of Pinners Cove Road, Asheville died on Sunday February 12, 2006 at his residence. A native of Haywood County, Mr. Reynolds was the son of the late Landrum Gaston and Bonnie Mae Elder Reynolds. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Army and was retired with 35 years of service with Southern Bell. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lydia Beatrice Lane Reynolds of Asheville; three daughters, Gail R. Banner and husband Greg of Arden, Deborah Henderson and husband Wayne of Hendersonville and Karen Reynolds of Asheville; two sons, Rocky Reynolds of Billings, MT and Lucky Reynolds of Asheville; three grandchildren, Greg and wife Michelle, William and Richard Reynolds all of Asheville; a sister, Madge Ashley of Fairview. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road with the Rev. Ronnie Pittman and Rev. Sidney Howell officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the Buncombe County Veterans Council Memorial Team. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. on Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720 or to the Glory Tabernacle Building Fund.
