Edgar Dale Westall, 73, of Candler, died Sunday, October 16, 2016. A native of Haywood Co., he was a son of the late Cortez and Bobbie Lindsay Westall. Mr. Westall was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Westall is survived by his daughter, Bobbie Lynn Tordt; sons, Jeremy Westall, Keith Westall, and "Lil" Dale Westall; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Beaverdam United Methodist Church Community Cemetery in Canton. In appreciation to Brad Allen Construction. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.

  1. I loved this man more than people will ever realize in a million years. He raised me to be the very outspoken woman I am today, tought me things, SPOILED me dearly, and many many vacations and memories that could make a thousand books….. I love you ‘DADDY DALE’! Good man above knows there are no words to exprjuess my feelings… Just want ALL OUR FAMILY & FRIENDS to know your in my thoughts an prayers….Thanks to those who helped the family with preparing an organizing for his services.

  2. This man was my hero. He showed me how to live life to the fullest and also how to appreciate and deal with ‘life.’ He was a kind and giving man. He was a ‘daddy’ to my children, Cassandra Marie Perry(Lance), Benjamin Ray Perry and Deneil Gregory Sharpe. I shared a home with him for nine years and remained lifetime friends. We had many happy times together. Dale was my bestest buddy in the whole world.

The artistic abilities of the Westall men in our family has been a beauty in so many ways…weather they created in wood, drawings or tattoes, they will always be remembered!     Was the manager at the Ice Service Store on Old Haywood Rd.
    Came and sat with me at night after I got robbed one time. Sorry to hear of his passing. I know he will be missed dearly.

  6. I am so sorry to hear of Dale’s passing. He was a very dear friend to me and always a gentleman as well. I will never forget the Thanksgiving Day that Dale and Bobbie came to my house to eat turkey and enjoy each others company. Dale you sure will be missed.
