Edith Dean (Cison) Griffiths, 78, of Hendersonville, died Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Solace in Asheville.
Born in Transylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Evie Mae (Hubbard) Cison. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Porter, and two brothers, A.C. and Melvin Cison.
Edith was an accomplished musician; she loved to sing and play guitar and especially enjoyed bluegrass, country, and gospel music.
Edith was a mother of three, Grandmother of eight and Great-Grandmother of two. She is also survived by her two sisters, Vera Leopard and Ethel Matthews.
Services will be private.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
I’m sorry that I couldn’t make it. I love you dearly Aunt Edith. I hate how times have changed, sometimes family just drift apart nowadays. It sure wasn’t like that back in your day. And I truly miss those days! I love you so much
