When my father returned to Asheville after serving in WWII he brought a bride with him. My mother loved to receive and to give Stewart Nye jewelry. Perhaps some pieces were crafted by Mrs. Shuford. The dogwood ring was a rite of passage for us girls. Mother’s collection is extensive. She passed away Easter Sunday 2013 and as we are in the process of settling her estate the jewelry has been set aside for the time being. My condolences on your loss.
Dear Shuford Family, Mary Dot and I are so sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing. I just lost my mom in March of this year, so I know your pain. Mary Dot and I have always said, your family is one of the finest we have ever known. I ate lunch with Tommy Koontz and we were talking about all of you and he agree with us. Johnny and Edith loved you all so much. In our Tidewater and M and E Co. Days we were all so blessed to get to know you all. We will be at the service, and look forward to seeing each of you. God bless you all. Pleasant thought of Johnny and Edith being with each other in Heaven. Bill and Mary Dot .
Sandy and family, I am sorry for your loss. When I think of the fun Biltmore days your family is always in those memories, your Mother was such a loving lady. Take care and remember the good times.
To the Shuford family,
Jessie and I just want all of you to know that all of you are in our thoughts and prayers.
We recall fondly the memory of your mother when we were just teenagers long ago. Your Mom and Dad were the epitome of grace and mercy.
May God give you the peace and comfort that only he can give in these sad times.
