Edith Grace (Wells) Case, 73, of Arden, died Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Mission Hospital.
Born in Buncombe County, she was the wife of the late Alvin Joseph “Buck” Case, and the daughter of the late Frank and Zennie (Rollins) Wells. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Wells.
She is survived by five children: Mary Kathleen Love and her husband Ed of Greenville, TN, Carolyn Michelle Case and her wife Renee of Hendersonville, Alvin Joseph Case, Jr and his wife Yvette of Easley, SC, Johnny Curtis Case of CO, and Michael Scott Case and his wife Amy of Arden; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; two brothers: Franklin Wells of AL and Robert Wells of Hendersonville; one sister, Goldie McGee of Lake City, FL, and her “rotten Boston Terrier”, Stormy.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Roberts Memorial Park, Arden, with Pastor Roger Rearden officiating.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.

My prayers are with you all throughout this most difficult time. Grace was such a beautiful soul she was my rock the early years of my daughter (Shawnte’) life I honestly could not have done it without her. Please know I love you all and would be there if I could be unfortunately I live in Florida now and can’t.
