Edith Mae Wells

Mrs. Wells was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Ulysis and Lila Wells Randall. She was married to Rankin Wells who died in 1995, and was also preceded in death by her son, Joe Rankin Wells, who died in 1989. She was a member of Leicester United Methodist Church.

She is survived by three grandsons, Kenneth, Eric and Michael Wells; six great-grandchildren, Kim Wells Abelon, and Ray, Randy, Scott, Wes and Eddie Wells; three great-great-grandchildren, and two nieces, Joyce Rice and Doris Barnett.

Graveside services will be at 11:30 am Tuesday at Brick Church Cemetery with the Revs. Dr. Neil Haynes and Richard Patzfahl officiating.

Her family will receive friends from 10 - 11 am Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
