Edna Elizabeth Ward, 81, formerly of 49 Green Valley Road, Leicester, died Monday, May 10, 2004, in a Yancey County nursing center.
Miss Ward was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Dexter and Hattie West Ward. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Mary Frisbee and her husband Richard and Ethel Worley, all of Leicester, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Phillips officiating.
Her family will be at the home of her sister, Mary Frisbee, 49 Green Valley Road, Leicester.
