Hendersonville ~ Edward Gabriel Syputa, 74, of Woodscape Road, Horse Shoe, died Thursday, May 22, 2003 in a local hospital.
A native of Chicago, IL, Mr. Syputa was a son of the late Phillip Joseph and Frances Jambrzycki Syputa.
Mr. Syputa was a World War II veteran and worked in construction sales. He attended Blue Ridge Bible Church in Fletcher.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Revis Syputa; two daughters, Michelle Stone of Sarasota, FL and Shawn Rouse of Mountain Home, AR; two sons, Stephen Syputa of San Antonio, TX and Mark Syputa of Chicago, IL; a brother, J.R. Syputa of Pensacola, FL and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 PM at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road. John Crawford and Herb Schlenker will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be Tuesday, May 27th at 12:00 noon at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
