  1. Never forget him walking down the halls at Erwin with that Rattlesnake hat on or seeing him in I think it was a gran tourino . Rest in Peace Big Ed

  2. James and family,
Sorry for your loss. I enjoyed working with Ed at Oreilly. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers in the coming days.

  3. I am so very sorry for this loss for his family, loved ones and friends. Ed was in my first second grade class at Emma Elementary School. We had 30 students in a single wide trailer on the playground. Ed was always strong and he helped me with many things that year. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

  4. I had Ed in several classes at Erwin HS. He was a great guy and woodworker. He made a frame and put a Harley picture in it for me when he was a student; it’s in my shop at home now .

  5. Big Ed you were just a big teddy bear. I still have a little one that you gave me when you were my assistant in the library. It was a BLESSING to know you both at school and you and your family personally.

  6. I would like to extend my prayers to all Ed’s family. I pray God comforts you and eases your pain. Ed will truly be missed. I will never forget a big group of us playing Fox & hound at his house and he found me in the building and kissed me. A great memory I will always have. He was a big teddy bear and a great friend.

  7. We haven’t spoken in some time but I’ve never lost my love for my BIG BROTHER! I love you Bro ALWAYS!!! Go with God and give Sammy a Big Hug for me 💜💜💜

  8. I haven’t spoken to or seen you in quite some time but you and your family crossed my mind often. I am so sorry for the loss of a wonderful and funny person. You will be missed, Ed. ❤️ Prayers for all of the Solesby Family.

  9. We have known Ed many years and he was always a good friend. He will be missed by many.

    Rest in peace big guy!

    Scott and Kathy Mashburn

  10. To the family,,,I have lots of memories of Big Ed playing in my yard with my kids. I couldn’t make the service because I was out of time. Prays for the family.

  11. Ed, you will be missed so much! You were there for me and my kids when we needed it the most! You made a huge impact on my life and my kid’s life! I wish you could have met the baby she would have loved you!
