Eileen Lawing Jenkins, 81, of Elkin, NC, died Sunday, November 25, 2007, at Piedmont Medical Center, in Rock Hill, SC.
A Buncombe Co. native, Mrs. Jenkins was the daughter of the late James E. and Allie Bishop Lawing. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Allen Jenkins, who died in 1989.
Mrs. Jenkins is survived by her daughter, Deborah Clark, of Rock Hill; sons, Keith E. Jenkins, of Rock Hill, James E. Jenkins and Kevin A. Jenkins, both of Charleston, SC, and Jeffry E. Jenkins, of Columbus, NC; sister, Doris Brookshire, of Waynesville; 10 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave.
