Elaine Pentz Johnson

Arden- Elaine Pentz Johnson, 89, of Arden, died Friday, March 15, 2024 at Mission Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Elizabeth Pentz Storey as well as her husband, Thomas Edward Johnson, III.

Mrs. Johnson graduated from Warren Wilson College and was a homemaker most of her life. Her favorite hobbies included quilting, painting, gardening, and collecting cookie cutters. A native Pennsylvanian, she loved to root for the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Pittsburgh Pirates. She was interested in genealogy and was very proud of her German, British, and Ashkenazi Jewish background. She loved being a proud Oma to her granddaughter, Laney.

She is survived by a son, Charles Johnson of Winston-Salem and a daughter, Susan Toole (Greg) and their daughter, Laney Toole of Arden.

A private family graveside service will be held at Calvary Episcopal Churchyard in Fletcher.
