Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Even though it has been years since I saw her in person, I see her picture every day as I check children into the clinic. Just this week a child pointed out the’picture of the lady and the big stuffed dog’. My thoughts are with your family.

  2. Betty Walburgh was a sweet, caring and funny lady. I have many fond memories of her coming into the clinic, especially at Christmas when she brought us rum balls. She will be missed.

  3. Betty brought light into any room she entered. A wonderful and most thoughtful lady who lived life to the fullest. She and Wally were a great deal of fun to be around, particularly at 5 in the afternoon, when it was time for Wally to bring out the Manhattans. She will be greatly missed.

  4. Bette was the dearest heart, clever, gracious, dignified and kind, and the quintessential lady. She was beloved by her family and friends, and we will so miss seeing her on our visits to Asheville.

  5. We have fond memories of the entire Walburgh family. Our lives were enriched by the relationship, and Betty was a constant source of support and kindness – and a very classy lady.

  6. MY deepest condolences to the Walburgh family. I knew carol and her entire family when they lived here in Erieville.Worked with her husband in the State Police. Both our families were close. She will be missed.

  7. Mom & I feel so sad that you have lost your Mom. She was such a wonderful loving lady and best friend. I always thought of Betty as my other Mother & loved her very much. She was my sunshine, always upbeat & ready to listen. She loved all of you so much and was so proud of her family. Now she is in heaven with her beloved Wally & Christopher. We will miss our beautiful friend.

  8. I met Bette when she partcipated in Leadership Asheville Seniors–she jumped into that probably like she jumped into everything else in life–determined to learn a lot and have a great time. During the subsequent years when she volunteered to create the program for the next class, she never met a stranger, enjoyed herself in all aspects, and made sure she was the life of every party we had! Sympathies to the family and friends who will miss her smile, spirit and spunk

  9. Eric, Tom and families – I believe the last time I saw your mother was sometime in the mid-eighties. She was as I remembered from the days at South Trenton, always sincere and nice in everything she did. From reading the other memorials it does not appear that she changed. Our condolences to all.

  10. We just read of your loss in the SRN paper. Although it’s been many years, I remember your Mom as a warm, friendly lady with a quick smile. Please know we are thinking of you. Sharon and Dick Gorman
