You live on in the hearts of everyone you touched and nurtured while you were here. Death ends a life, not a relationship." Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. 7. My condolences to Patti and the entire Stafford family. Mrs. Stafford was so special to all of us. My most memorable experience of her was at Biltmore School. I was the drummer for the ‘Bequadros’, an eighth grade band. We were playing ‘Louie, Louie’ at the Biltmore gym and I noticed Mrs. Stafford would just die laughing when I sang my part of the chorus. It made me start laughing and I would have to turn my head to stop laughing so I could sing my lines. Whenever I did this, everybody in the audience would laugh also. Mr. Burgess, our music teacher, came up to me after the song and said what a hoot I was during the song. I’ll never forget Mrs. Stafford for this.

  8. Mrs. Stafford was a wonderful person whose life made a difference. I’m glad she allowed me to be part of it.

  16. Betty’s passing has lingered with me longer than the deaths of my parents. Probably because she had a separate and special place in my heart and in my life.
