Sarah Elizabeth Digges Batchelor, 84, formerly of Asheville, died Friday, September 10, 2004, in Sewickley, PA.
Mrs. Batchelor was a daughter of the late George A. Digges, Jr. and Cornelia Digges. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tom Harrison Batchelor, her beloved sister, Carroll Louise McNeil and her beloved brothers George A. Digges III and William E. Digges.
Mrs. Batchelor served as Assistant Register of Deeds in Buncombe County for over 25 years. She was a member of Kenilworth Presbyterian Church and the Country Club of Asheville.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law G. Thomas Batchelor and Helen Carol Batchelor and granddaughter Carol Elizabeth Bachelor, all of Sewickley, PA.
Private burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Asheville.
