Elizabeth Gossett Wells

Elizabeth Gossett Wells, 82, of Asheville, NC died Monday, September 23, 2024, and is now with her savior in Sweet Beulah Land.

A Leicester, NC native, Elizabeth was the youngest daughter of the late James F. Gossett and Blanche Teague Gossett. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, James E. Wells, two brothers, Wayne and Carl Gossett, and sister, Lou Gossett.

Elizabeth graduated from Asheville-Buncombe Technical Institute in 1973, and spent 31 years as an LPN, giving tender loving care to all her patients.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Timothy J. Wells and wife Kim; daughter, Tamara Wells; and granddaughters, Kayla Wells and partner Cody Riddle and his son, Gavin, and Beth Lunsford and husband Larry Cook. Elizabeth is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Alexia, Lathan James, Walker James, and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the multiple individuals from Four Seasons Hospice for the professional, kindhearted care given to Elizabeth.

A celebration of life for Elizabeth at Leicester Baptist Church will be published here as soon as details become available.

A private family viewing and burial will be held at a later date.
