Elizabeth (Lib) Cauble Waldrop

Elizabeth (Lib) Adalee Cauble Waldrop, 97, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, in Atlanta, GA.

A native of Asheville, Lib grew up in Oakley community and graduated from Oakley high school. She was a daughter of the late Carl and Ada Herron Cauble. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles A. Waldrop Jr.

Throughout her life, Lib enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, playing bridge with friends, picnicking, and spending time with family. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and visited many places throughout the country. Lib and Charles were members of Reed Memorial Baptist Church in Oakley and then First Baptist Church of Asheville.

Lib is survived by a daughter, Joan Hill (Gerald) of Columbus, GA; and a son, C. David Waldrop (Laura) of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Gen. Jeff Hill (Carrie), Rick Hill (Shelley), Austin Waldrop, her brother Kenneth Cauble (Sara), and 6 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 12 at Green Hills Cemetery.

Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
