Elizabeth Revis Tweed, 89, died Monday, May 10, 2010. Mrs. Tweed was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Jeter Tilson Revis and Mary Ward Revis. She was married to Glenn William Tweed, who died in 1984, and was also preceded in death by a son, Larry (Bud) Tweed, who died in 1996. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons, Ronnie Tweed and his wife, Leuzette, of Asheville, Bill Tweed and his wife, Judy, of Shelby, and Raymond Tweed and his wife, Joyce, of Asheville; five grandchildren, James Tweed, Jeffrey Tweed, Teresa Lynette Marez, Mandy Tweed, and Hillary Tweed; two great-grandchildren, Abigail Tweed and Alexandria Marez; and a brother, William Revis of St. Cloud, FL. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Riverside Cemetery with the Rev. Greg Metcalf officiating. Memorials may be made to the West Asheville Baptist Church Building Fund, 926 Haywood Road, Asheville, NC 28806. The family expresses their appreciation to the staff of Aston Park HCC for the care they provided to Mrs. Tweed and her family during her stay. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting with the arrangements.

I always enjoyed talking to her and listening about the family.. she sure loved her children and grandkids! ‘The Hill’ just isn’t the same without her..I always remember her in my prayers, now I will be remembering all of you..Steve and Donna Gaddy
