Elizabeth Swiderski, 97, of Leicester passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024

Known as “Dolly” with family and “Betty” with friends, she was born August 6, 1927 in Queens, NY. She was a daughter of the late George and Henrietta Muuss Crofford, and was one of 7 children and the last to pass away. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Swiderski. She is survived by her daughter, Pat and son-in-law, Frank. She also has several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her constant precious companion is Simba (cat), and he will miss her terribly.

Originally from NY, she and her husband relocated to Las Vegas many years ago. In 2006 after her husband passed away, she relocated to Leicester to live with Pat and Frank. She and Pat did some traveling over the years, even though she was afraid of heights and water, two cruises were taken.

Her hobbies included sewing, knitting and jigsaw puzzles. Her favorite game of Rummikub was played with many friends.

She was a patient of Four Seasons Hospice where she received excellent care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Four Seasons Foundation. To donate on-line: fourseasonsfdn.org. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 21 at 1:30 p.m. in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
