Elma Britt Quarles

Elma Britt Quarles, 81, of 84 Broken Saddle Trail, Candler, died Friday, December 2, 2005, at her home. Mrs. Quarles was was a daughter of the late Albert and Frances Britt and was also preceded in death by a brother, Albert J. “A.J.” Britt. She attended the Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are her husband, Vernon Sills Quarles; one daughter, Judith Q. Lockhart and her husband, Al, of Candler; a brother, Maurice Britt and his wife, Shirley, of Lumberton; three granddauhgters, Stacey Lambert, Toni Kirk and Kimberly Randall, and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Edwin Olson officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends Monday at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
