Guestbook

  1. I have been thinking about all the wonderful memories that we shared. I am so grateful for all the things she taught me and the great times we had together. She brought so much pleasure to my life. She will always be in my heart and greatly missed.
    I Love You Mimi.

  2. Aunt Elna was a very special lady that I admired so much. I have many fond memories of her and Uncle Jack. It was always so exciting when they came to town to hear about their adventures. I became even closer to her after they moved to Elgin and then after I moved to Elgin, we visited many times. In the last few years, I’d been telling her that I wanted to be just like her when I grow up! Always so spunky and cute. We had many good times having laughs over a glass of wine. Cheers to you, Aunt Elna! I know you are happy with Him and with your family in heaven. We were blessed to have you in our lives for almost 93 years. I miss you and I love you. You will always occupy a special place in my heart.

  3. Bob & Lorraine,
So sorry for your loss. Meme & Jack are together again. We all have such great memories of a lifetime of love & support. Fishing will always be special because of them. My prayers are with you.

  4. What a special lady. I met Mr. and Mrs. Poe at the Elgin Nursing & Rehab and through my friend Judy Wilke. They were so dedicated to each other, and set a wonderful example for all. I worked as receptionist right by the front door and saw her come in every day. Everyone at the nursing home just loved them. When our Texas winds blew hard — we would walk tiny Ms. Poe to her car to make sure she got there ok. Just a joy and privilege and a blessing to have known her. I Thank God for her.

  5. Sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. We went to church with her at Grace, very pleasant person to talk with. Kept in touch until she was not able to write. Have truly missed her smile. May God be with all of you. Ervin and Ruth
