Elsie Lee George, 84, of Asheville, passed away Monday, December 22, 2008 at Memorial Mission Hospital.
She was a daughter of the late Robert and Iva Martin McKinney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Cain George.
She was a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Tribe.
Surviving are her daughter, Jerry Scott of Asheville; grandchildren, Sherry Webb and husband Phillip of Asheville, Brian Scott and fiancee Amanda Wright of Asheville, Leslie Lewis and husband Jonathan of Marshall and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00pm Monday, December 29, 2008 in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home with Rev. Don Welborn officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service.
