Elsie Mae Blackwell, 77, of 95 Richmond Hill Road, Asheville,
died Monday, December 30, 2002.
Mrs. Blackwell was born in York Co., SC, and was a daughter of
the late Robert Bundy Sistare and
Sara Katherine Coble Sistare. She
was married to the late Raphael
McKinley Blackwell.
Surviving are a daughter, Christine Keever of Asheville; a son, Clifford Bundy Sistare of York, SC;
three grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 4:00 pm Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Butch Stillwell officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date.
Her family will receive friends immediately following the service and request that memorials be made to Christine Keever through Clyde Savings and Loan.

Elsie will live forever in our hearts..she touched many of life’s..she was a like Mother to me.will never forget the good times her& i shared…knew her for 20 years and that was the best 20 years.she has a special daughter and granddaughter who are special to me also…May God Bless them thru this time of sorrow.
