Dear Hensley Family of ‘Miss Elsie’, I just wanted you all to know what a honor it was to have a part in taking care of your Mom in her final days. When I read the passage of John 14 that afternoon, I feel that she heard me and I know that today she is rejoicing in Heaven. I know how hard it is to give up a loved one-but to know that she is with The Lord and that one day we will be with her is all we need to comfort us during this time of grief. I know that the Holidays will be extremely hard-but lean on The Lord-He is our hope in time of need.
Love to you all-Edna ‘Trouble’ Crowe, CNA-9-Stepdown, St.Joseph.
Dear Jerry, Bobby and family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your mother at this most difficult time.
My Great Aunt Elsie and Uncle Hall hold a special place in my heart. They were both kind, loving, good Christian people whom were a gift to know.
I would travel with my grandparents, when they would visit from Michigan. I am Judy’s oldest daughter. Your mom and dad would always invite me to stay with them.
I have such fond memories of my childhood shared with them – walking up to the store, going to ball games, helping wash the car and taking care of the garden with Uncle Hall.
Your mother always spoiled me; taking me shopping, going to lunch with her and my Aunt Bernice, having her granddaughters come over to play, time spent watching her stories(soaps), I would get to sleep in her room and we would stay up talking into the night.
Most nights we sat out back, drinking lemonade or sweet tea- watching fire flies light up the night sky, the stars twinkle and the moon shine brightly.
I loved her laugh, smile and huge hugs. She will be greatly missed. I know the Lord has taken her Home, to be with your father, once again. Peace be with you. God’s blessing to your family.
Love, Vicki
