I got to know Erma while working with her at Bank of America twenty five years ago and kept in touch with her after I left to go into real estate. Erma was always outgoing, friendly, caring and such a wonderful talker. She was a sweetheart! I believe God really blessed me when he let her come into my life and I know he opened his arms wide to welcome her into heaven. Erma will be missed by many and certainly by me as I valued her friendship through the years.
We are so sorry to hear of Erma’s death. She was such a classy lady and always fun to be around. She is in a much better place now. May God comfort you in your sorrow.
What a God-given treasure I have been privileged to have in the friendship of Erma Proffitt. We shared a few years in working together at Bank of America! Since that time, I will always treasure our almost weekly lunches & times of great fellowship & fun! I already miss Erma–but do thank God for allowing our lives to meld together and thankful that we do indeed have the wonderful hope & assurance of our sharing eternity together with Our Lord, Jesus Christ! Bye, Erma!
Sweet Erma…I worked with her at Biltmore Dairy in the early 80’s. So sassy and beautiful and always smiling. And what a sweet marriage she had with Mr. Proffitt. We should all be lucky enough to find that kind of love on this earth. She will be missed!
I worked at Biltmore Dairy in my senior year of high school (1978). Erma was the funniest lady there! She made it a point to speak to me when I was working during the week when she was there. It amazed me to see her work at the switchboard. I kept in touch with her for several years after I left there. She was a snazzy dresser and looked so good in her clothes. I had actually been thinking about her for the past few months and hated to see her obit in the paper. Good bye sweet Erma.

We are very glad to have her in our lives! She was a joy to the world!

Erma was a precious lady. She had love for everyone. I met her when she started to Skyland Church. She had a hard time the past few years with her sickness. Thank God, she is over all of her pain and enjoying her new home in Heaven. I Love You, Erma. Roger and Donnie Grindstaff
