Ernest J. "E.J." Page

Ernest J. “E.J.” Page, 74, formerly of Asheville, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Mission Hospital.

E.J. was born November 8, 1948, in St. Paul, NC, to the late Ernest Ladie and Ethel Lee Pollock Page, and he was married to Ellena Josephine “Joy” Page who died in 2014.

He is survived by his daughter, Lynn Page DeVore (Michael); son Ernest “Eric” Page; grandchildren, Amber Lee Page, Emiliegh Rose Wilhelm, Jayden James Wilhelm, Tyla Nichole DeVore Matter (Matt) and Kayla Marie DeVore; two great-grandchildren, Carson and Rylan; and a brother, Kenneth Page.

Graveside services will be at 12:00 noon Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Woodlawn Cemetery, with the Rev. Henry Wallace officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 – 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service, at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist with the expenses.
