Ernest Lee Mandeville

Ernest Lee Mandeville, 83, of 480 Enka Lake Road, Candler, died Sunday, July 13, 2003, at the Hospice Solace Center.
Mr. Mandeville was born in Midland, PA and was a son of the late Lee Henry and Ethel Campbell Mandeville. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Mandeville.
He was an Army Air Corps veteran of WW II and was retired after more than 40 years as a sign contractor. He devoted his life to the Lord and was a long-time deacon and Sunday school teacher and was an active member of Liberty Baptist Church and more recently Starnes Cove Baptist Church.
Surviving are his current wife, Ernestine Foster Mandeville; two daughters, Janice M. Turner and her husband Earl of Victoria, TX and Myra M. Leonhardt and her husband Larry of Morganton; two sons, Michael Ernest Mandeville and his wife Barbara who serve as missionaries in Argentina and Andrew Mark Mandeville and his wife Catherine of Candler; a step-son Gary Bruce Foster and his wife Marie of Candler; a brother, David Mandeville of New Mexico; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Starnes Cove Baptist Church with the Rev. Charlie Sams officiating. Burial will be at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
His family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm Tuesday at the church.

I am a very distant-cousin to the MANDEVILLE family through the FABER family of Lorain Ohio. I would be glad to hear from any of the MANDEVILLE descendants. Thank you.

I was so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. He and your mother were both very special to me during our high school years and I will always remember them. I am sorry that I won’t be able to attend the visitation or funeral, but please know that I am thinking of you and your family, and that you are in our thoughts and prayers. I will be in touch soon.
