Ervin Luther Frady

Fletcher ~ Ervin Luther Frady, 95, of 178 Rutledge Road, died Thursday, August 14, 2003 at his residence. A native of Henderson County, Mr. Frady was the son of the late Luther and Emma Hare Frady. He was also preceded in death by sister, Mary Longshore and brothers, Ott and Grover Frady. Mr. Frady was an Army veteran and retired from Youngblood Trucking Company. Survivors include a son, Ronnie E. Frady and daughter-in-law, Betsy Frady of Fletcher; four grandchildren, Fonda Frady, Crystal Carver, Candia Higgins and Shane Frady; six great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Joshua, Jacob and Jerrica Carver, Dillan and Dakota Higgins; two sisters, Elizabeth Miller of Arden and Etta Fowler of Fletcher and a brother, Roy Frady of Arden. A funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road with Revs. Roy Rector and Cecil Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Benny Frady, Ronnie Carver, David Higgins, Freddie Fowler, Jerry Fowler and Carroll Allen. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the funeral home. At other times, the family may be visited at the residence.
