Ethel W. Chatham

Mrs. Chatham was born in Buncombe County, was a daughter of the late William and Ruth Nesbitt Wilson, and was married to the Rev. Harry Lane Chatham who died in 1964. She was retired from the Asheville Mica Co. and was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Mazel C. Murmillo and Jean C. Conner of Asheville and Lillian C. Atwell of Las Vegas, NV; two brothers, Roy M. Wilson of Fletcher and Luther T. Wilson of Fairview; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-six grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Paul Dotson, Randy Melton and Chester Owenby officiating. Burial will be at Green Hills Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Sunday at the funeral home and at other times will be both at the homes of Ted and Mazel Murmillo, 56 Wagon Road, Asheville, and Everett and Jean Conner, 7 Chestnut Terrace, Oakley.
