Eugene F. McDonald

He was born March 3, 1918 in Parker's Ridge, New Brunswick, Canada, the son of Warden and Bernice (Pond) McDonald.   He was a veteran of the Canadian Air Force and worked as a hotel clerk during his work career.  He worked in hotels from Maine to Florida, most recently at the Grove Park Inn.  He is survived by family members in Maine and New Brunswick.

   Eugene made many friends while residing in Asheville for over 25 years.  He was a private man but he made known to family members his special friends.  One of those special friends was Belle Marshall. Also, when living many miles from family, one needs someone to call upon at any hour of the day or night, that special friend to Eugene was Rick Newman.

The family acknowledges, with love and gratitude, Eugene's extended family in Asheville.

Interment was in Lewis Memorial Park and a memorial service will be held in Maine at a later date.
