Dear Pat, Eric, Skye, and Bob:
I just finished reading your dad’s/grandpa’s (granddad’s?)/father-in-law’s obituary. What I find striking is his leadership and people-oriented pursuits in military service, business and recreation. Surely, he was terrific and no doubt touched and changed many lives throughout his life. So his passing creates a painful void. Remember that ‘Love Never Ends*’. He will go on loving all of you and you can know that with all certainty. I hope to see you all on the 5th. Blessings and Love, Diane
Check out I Corinthians 13: 8-13 – almost a cliched reading at weddings, the basis of my eulogy for Phil. I never understood it until I had this epiphany: as mortals we can only see such a small part of eternity: our own lives. So we see ‘dimly’. But then, it is beyond our years, in a place we cannot understand or know as mortals where see see ‘fully’. And that is where Pete Hambleton is now.
Mrs. Hambleton, Darlene and Family-
My husband & I were so sorry to hear of your father’s passing Darlene. Your memories will carry you forever as mine have. With love, Rob & Catherine Abbott
