Eula Mae Thompson

Eula Mae Scott Thompson, 82, of 166 Sardis Road, Asheville, died Thursday, July 15, 1999, in a local hospital.
A native of El Paso, TX, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Alice Stewart Scott. She retired from American Enka in 1980 with 21 years of service and was a member of Reeves Chapel Church.
She is survived by her husband, George R. Thompson; two sons, Ricky Lee Thompson of Arden and George M. Thompson of Candler; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Graveside services will be 3:00 pm Sunday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Phillip M. Hurst officiating.
Her family will receive friends 7-8:30 pm Saturday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
Memorials may be made to Reeves Chapel United Methodist Church, 225 Sardis Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
