EULA P. RANDOLPH
MARION – Eula Poteat Randolph, 81, went gently home Tuesday, November 9, 2010.
Mrs. Randolph was born in McDowell County and was a daughter of the late Charles and Minnie Holland Poteat. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne H. Randolph, who died in 1995, sisters, Lucille Sanderson and Mildred Gibbs and brothers, James and Roy Poteat.
She was a retired seamstress and a member of Cross Mill Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are five daughters, Patricia Childers and husband, Harry, of Old Fort, Shirley Andrews and husband, Jon, Libby Waldrup and husband, Chuck, and Rebecca Waynett Watkins and her husband, Chuck, all of Asheville, and Sarah Ramsey and husband Don, of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Rene Waldrup, Becky Metcalf, Jonathan Andrews, Joy Arthur, Chad Watkins, Samantha Ramsey, Katie W. Tyson, and Jeremy Waldrup; great-grandchildren, Ryan Waldrup, Hannah Metcalf, Porter Waldrup, Joanna Arthur, Ila Waldrup, Jesse Arthur, and Patrick Waldrup; and brothers and sisters, Mary Davis, Roger Poteat, Olen Poteat, Edward Poteat, Donald Poteat and Karene Howell.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Chuck Waldrup and Ron Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Metcalf, Jonathan Andrews, Jeremy Arthur, Chad Watkins, Ryan Waldrup and Jeremy Waldrup.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Dearest Ms. Libby and family, I wanted to say how sorry I am for you loss. May God continue to give you the strength and courage to make the decisions that are needed and to do the things that need done now…May He wrap you in His arms as only He can and comfort you in the quiet time…May He bring the good times to your memories and help ease your pain….you are love by many…love always…Joyce Buckner Ogles and family.

So very, very sorry to hear the news but so glad we know where she is. Love and prayers to all the family.
We all know for sure how wonderful Eula Mae’s home is now.. Everyone will miss her here. I always loved Eula Mae – she was always kind and sweet to me. So sorry I cannot be back by Friday as I am up in Virgina with Tiffany’s family..but I will be thinking of you all and keeping you in my prayers.. Love to all.
