Evelyn Catherine Koletnik

Asheville ~ Evelyn Catherine Scharr Koletnik, 94, of Asheville passed away on Saturday, August 07, 2010 after a period of declining health. She was born in Brooklyn, New York and was the daughter of the late Jacob and Eva Handell Scharr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry H. Koletnik and two daughters, Carol Mauceli and Marilyn Koletnik. She was a member of the Covenant Community United Methodist Church in Asheville. She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Clarke of Southampton, NY a son, Stephen Koletnik and wife Judith of Asheville; son-in-law, Leonard Mauceli of Naples, Fl.; seven grandchildren, Christopher Clarke, Lawrence Clarke and wife Vanessa, Aimee Clarke Olivia, William Clarke and wife Allison, Elizabeth Mauceli Ryder and husband John, Robert Mauceli and wife Sage and Stephen Koletnik, Jr.; four great-grandchildren, Paige Clarke, Harper Clarke, Mia Ryder and Avi Mauceli. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Community United Methodist Church, 111 Rocket Drive, Asheville, NC 28803. Groce Funeral Home East Asheville on Tunnel Road is in charge of arrangements.
