EVELYN “EVE” WILLIAMS Evelyn Seals “Eve” Williams, 89, of Cherry Springs Village, Hendersonville, died Friday, December 14, 2007, at Memorial Campus, Mission Hospitals. Mrs. Williams was born in Birmingham, AL, and was a daughter of the late Robert and Evelyn Westmoreland Seals. She was married to the late Charles Benton Williams. She served in the US Army during WW II and she was retired from the office of the City Manager of Panama City, FL. Surviving are her daughter, Lynn Seals Williams of Leicester and a close friend, Vanice Stinson of Leicester. A funeral service is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Very Reverend Todd Donatelli officiating. Private interment will be at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Panama City. Mrs. Williams’ family will receive friends Monday at the funeral home following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lymphoma Foundation, the American Cancer Society, or the Smoky Mountain Brain Injury Support Group, 115 Sleepy Forest, Leicester, NC 28748.
