Evelyn Wilkerson Dotson

Evelyn Wilkerson Dotson, 99, of Asheville passed away on Friday, April 6, at the Laurels of Summit Ridge. Born in Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Fred A. and Maggie Brookshire Wilkerson. Mrs. Dotson is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sanford Dotson. Also by her sister Rena Arrowood and her brothers Ralph, John, and Bill Wilkerson. She is survived by her brother, Andy Wilkerson and several nephews and nieces. A funeral service will be held at Gashes Creek Baptist Church on Monday, at 2 pm. Rev. Ed Jennings and Rev. Lester Crayton will officiate. The family will receive friends and family during the hour prior to the funeral service. The interment will be in Gashes Creek Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be J.C Arrowood, Lee Lyda, Joe Tate, Greg Buckner, Robert Brown and Gayle Huntley. Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Lyda and Royce Brown.
